Hier VOA CREW

1:What do you write , how long have you been writing for (year started), and why did you get involved in it ? I write Hie Voa / Hier Voak. I been writing since 1993. I got into graffiti because I was from a poor family, and I could not afford to do much else besides steal spray paint and spray on shit.

2:How did you get your name? I got my name because I smoke a gang of herb, so the older homies told me you should write High because you're always high. Then I changed it to Hie / Hier a few years later because I liked that letter combo better.

3: Who were your biggest influences and why? 3. My biggest influences were the homies I was painting with and older writers from LA because thats what I would see. I remember going into the city when I was a kid and seeing Chaka up.

4: Whats your Favorite type of graffiti? My fav type of graffiti is raw illegal vandalism!

5: Do you consider graffiti Hip Hop? and if not where did you pick it up from and what group do you think it falls in? I consider graffiti graffiti, it does'nt fall into any other category to me. It is the only art form created by the youth, by children.

6: Whats your favorite type of music? My fav type of music is all diff kinds, I dont really have a fav but if I have to choose one I'd say punk rock.

7: Whats the difference to you between Graffiti and Gang graffiti to you? Graffiti to me you do it for fun, gang graffiti you do it for intimidation.

8: Fruity pebbles or coco pebbles? 420 pebbles

9: Are you in your prime as of right now? and if not when do you think your prime was? I will always be in my prime for-ev-er!

10: Whats your favorite city that you have painted and why is it your favorite? My fav city I've painted is LA, always good times.

11: What do you think of people getting jail time for graffiti ?

I think jail time for graff is lame, and the law should focus more on sex offenders like child molesters and rapists and give them more time.

12: Do you still drink 40’s and if so whats your favorite brand to drink? I drink champagne, rum, and wine

13: How do you feel about the graffiti trend and as well as being used for everything now a days (clothing,lunch boxes , hats , etc…..) Trends come and go.

14: Do you have a chase story that people would like to hear one that you almost shit your self during? I've had many my fair share of chase stories! Remember to lace up your shoelaces real tight before you go out bombing
