BOZOE KI CREW
1:What do you write , how long have you been writing for (year started), and why did you get involved in it
Bozoe KI Crew. I started writing around 2007 because that's what all my friends were doing. Skating and graffiti just went hand in hand.
2:How did you get your name?
I was once at a stoplight with my pops when a kid on the side of the street starts climbing the crosswalk pole to put a sticker up. "What a bozoe" said my dad, been stuck in my head ever since.
3: Who were your biggest influences and why?
Soup, mkue, Ceno, Utah and ether, really anyone who was going out of their way to grill shit I looked up to.
4: Whats your Favorite type of graffiti?
Throw ups and etch. Don't get me wrong doing a nice bomb is fun. But there's no better feeling than leaving your tag in acid form on a window to eat all night.
5: Do you consider graffiti Hip Hop? and if not where did you pick it up from and what group do you think it falls in?
They were both born from similar places so I think that they will always go hand in hand. Personally I listen to certain rap and it gets my hype to go out and paint something.
6: Whats your favorite type of music?
Trap music. Gucci mane, young scooter, young Dolph, shy glizzy, chief keef. All that garbage you wouldn't play around your grandma.
7: Whats the difference to you between Graffiti and Gang graffiti to you?
They're both dope in their own ways. I love driving by a wall that some gang banger actually spent his time doing proper script on. The message is totally different but the principle is exactly the same.
8: Fruity pebbles or coco pebbles?
Fruity pebbles even though they really all the same flavor
9: Are you in your prime as of right now? and if not when do you think your prime was?
No, I don't think I have even started yet.
10: Whats your favorite city that you have painted and why is it your favorite?
Berlin hands down. No one cares about cleaning graffiti because they have better shit to do. You'll be walking down he street and see a tag from 1998. That doesn't happen anywhere in the states.
11: What do you think of people getting jail time for graffiti ?
I think it is what it is. It sucks that certain people ruin the name of graffiti by tagging on churches and cars and shit. Because 75 percent of graffiti writers are hella respectful of people's property.
12: Do you still drink 40’s and if so whats your favorite brand to drink?
I don't really drink I just sip syrup. If I do it's Henny and Jameson for me. If I had to I guess I'd drink a colt 45.
13: How do you feel about the graffiti trend and as well as being used for everything now a days (clothing, lunch boxes , hats , etc…..)
Shits lame as fuck. All these hipster art school kids think they can print out some stickers and become the next shepherd fairey. I don't see myself getting rich from this. That's not what graffiti is about. Too many cornballs trying to turn a hobby into a profession.
14: Do you have a chase story that people would like to hear one that you almost shit your self during?
I was once in New York with my bro Jobe DAS getting black out drunk at some bar in Williamsburg. Walking back to my place I saw a wall next to a bodega that was just asking for it. Covered in tags, looked ancient, prime spot. However I failed to realize that the owner of the bodega watched me walk up and start catching a fill. He chases me out with a little bat and sends me running down the block. I hop a fence and pop a can of paint in my bag. Navy blue krylon is dripping all down my jeans, this dude is still chasing me, and it's too late to hop on a subway. I flag a taxi down hop in. At this point dude starts asking hella questions about what stinks so bad and I tell him it's just hairspray. He says something like "no that not hairspray" but keeps driving. Meanwhile my bag is literally dripping with paint all over this dudes back seat. He starts getting kinda pissed off by the smell and kicks me out. Soon as I get out I realized the whole back seat was covered in blue. Sorry to the taxi man
15: Any last Shout outs?
Shout out my whole family, shoutout to my girl, shoutout to my crew and shoutout to anyone following my graffiti, I appreciate you.
